Henry Community Health in New Castle, Indiana, is looking for a full-time Anesthesiologist to join their established and growing practice. This is very solid group that is well respected within the hospital and has a great working relationship. The Anesthesiology Department has 24/7 coverage and includes board certified physicians and CRNAs. The practice consists of two MDs and five CRNAs. Opening is due to growth. Henry Community Health physicians and CRNAs work independently providing anesthesia care for surgical and Henry Community Health Medical Group obstetrical patients.
Must be proficient with regional blocks. Also, must be able to perform OB/GYN epidurals. Currently working with five operating rooms, with a sixth coming after Labor Day.
They provide general, regional, and neuraxial anesthesia.
Physician will work Monday-Friday. Cases daily starting at 7:30am and ending around 3-4pm. Practice sees around 25 cases per day, 300 deliveries per year.
- Call schedule: 1:6 weekend call, one week day call per week.
- No week day call following weekend call.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet call requirement. If not, must stay in house while on call.

Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, Indiana, is recruiting for a full-time Anesthesia physician to be employed for its Anesthesia Department.
Currently the Anesthesia Department is structured around a two MD/two CRNA format. With this hire, they will move to a three physician, one CRNA supplemental help.

Henry Community Health is an integrated health system located in New Castle primarily serving Henry, western Wayne and northern Rush Counties with some services now available in Muncie. The system is rapidly transitioning from the traditional inpatient model to expanding primary care, care coordination including membership in a Medicare Accountable Care Organization, population health and integrating mental health care into their primary care physician practices.
Henry Community Health Medical Group includes physicians in 17 specialties including anesthesiology, allergy/immunology, cardiology, family medicine, infectious disease, internal medicine, integrative medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, physiatry, pain management, general surgery, hospice, pediatrics, pediatric hospitalist, wound care s and radiology. Specialty services offered locally by other physicians include urology, podiatry, nephrology, ENT, pulmonology, adult hospitalists, dermatology, emergency care, oncology, radiation oncology and ophthalmology.
A partnership with nationally recognized St.Vincent Heart Center provides local cardiology care with access to leading heart specialists and the Emergency Department is an accredited Chest Pain Center. The Emergency Department also participates in St.Vincent’s Telestroke Program allowing quicker diagnosis and potential treatment for stroke patients.
The Wound Center offers advanced wound care treatments and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Other services include anticoagulation clinic, home health, hospice, retail pharmacies, sleep center, rehabilitation services including aquatic therapy, sports medicine, New Castle Walk-In Care, HealthRidge wellness and fitness center and three employer-based health clinics.
Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) is county-owned and has served the citizens of Johnson County immediately south of Indianapolis since 1947. With 100 staffed beds the hospital has a number of specialty programs. Among them are a comprehensive cancer services, breast center, cath and peripheral vascular lab, Interventional radiology, cardiovascular testing center, sleep center, wound care center, diabetes care program, acute rehabilitation center, spine surgery, orthopedic and sports medicine services, ENT services, critical and progressive care units and a renal dialysis service on the JMH campus.
Johnson Memorial Health maintains a 12-bed Maternity Center built entirely on the LDRP concept. The Unit also has a special procedures room where all C-sections are performed. Patients and the medical staff have access to 24-7 anesthesia coverage and the unit staffs a level 1 nursery. The hospital maintains a close relationship with Riley Children’s Hospital which is utilized for newborn critical care transfers. The transfer rate over the past five years as ranged from a low of 1% to a high of 3.5% of all births. Over the last five years the Unit has averaged 500 births per year and that volume is growing.
In 2010 Johnson Memorial Health entered into a clinical collaboration agreement with Community Health Network (CHN) in Indianapolis. The agreement sets up a system for JMH and the CHN to pool resources and market strength to jointly develop new programs and services in the Johnson County market. The agreement has no effect on the hospital’s ownership or management, as it will remain a county-owned hospital, directed by its own board of trustees and administrative team.
The hospital completed a $12.5 million expansion and modernization of the surgery unit in 2012.
