Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a second BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a second BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist to join our hospital-employed, outpatient practice. Our newly renovated facility, just a short drive from our main hospital campus, houses pediatric primary care and many pediatric specialty services. Our pediatric endocrinologists are supported by a full time PA who supports management of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, two registered dietitians, one of whom has their CDE and two medical assistants.   Furthermore, an embedded pediatric psychologist rotates amongst our pediatric specialty practices helping with the behavioral consequences of chronic disease and in the care of patients with gender dysphoria.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a 411-bed, ACS-verified Level II trauma, and regional tertiary care center serving a patient population of 500,000 living in the northern 2/3 of the state. Our hospital has invested in a new $300 million tower which opened in 2016 and includes new lobby and dining facilities and state-of-the-art NICU. In 2017, our modernization project continued with consolidated cardiac services, new surgical suites and post-anesthesia recovery unit, and renovated labor and delivery unit.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center serves as the Regional Pediatric Specialty Center. Pediatric sub-specialty support includes surgery, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, genetics, hematology-oncology, developmental pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, and ophthalmology.
