Job Description

Job Number: 192226

Department: Critical Care Medicine

Hours: Variable

Virginia Mason, named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades and Leapfrog’s “Hospital of the Decade”, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Intensivist to join our leading Critical Care Team.

Virginia Mason provides critical care in a state-of-the-art, 28-bed unit, that opened in September 2014. We are looking for physicians who thrive in a highly collaborative environment and have a passion for resident and staff education.

As leaders in quality improvement, it’s also important that we find a physician who is interested in adding to this ongoing work.

Responsibilities will include direct patient care, involvement in unit operations and leading daily multidisciplinary rounds. We work on a rotating schedule with a mix of day and night shifts. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a collaborative, quality driven team with a commitment to providing evidence-based care to the patients we serve.

Qualifications:

· ABA or ABIM Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Critical Care
· Candidates boarded in Emergency Medicine will be considered
· Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
· Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

Virginia Mason offers much more than competitive compensation and benefits. With continuing education opportunities and the added potential of relocation benefits, you will find our commitment to your well-being is both rewarding and refreshing.

There is also the lifestyle benefit that comes with finding yourself in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Surrounded by the vibrancy and sophistication of one of the country’s most livable cities and the natural beauty of the region, finding the perfect urban or outdoor pursuit will become second nature.
