The Heart Hospital at Saint Francis is seeking an experienced Electrophysiologist to initiate and grow an EP program with long standing cardiology group.

Candidate Parameters:

  • Experienced candidate
  • Preferred skill set: device work, ablation, management and oversight of Atrial Fibrillation Clinic
  • Osteopathic and allopathic candidates will be considered

Population Served:

  • Adults 18+ (will consider younger, based on physician comfort level)

Practice Support:

  • Administrative Staff: Clinic Director & Office Supervisor
  • Advanced Practice Providers: 10 (8 Daytime, 2 Nocturnist)
  • Clinical Assistants (or Medical Assistants): 16
  • Patient Service Representatives: 13
  • Office RNs: 3
  • Hospital RNs: 4
  • Certified Coders: 2.5
  • Billing Clerk III: 1

Clinic Details:

  • Location: Heart Hospital, Suite 1-304 and Cardinal Building SFH South, Suite 208
  • Number of exam rooms: 24

Hospital Privileges:

  • EP Lab Availability: SFH Main Campus, 2 currently with possibility of 3rd
  • Location: SFH Main Campus 3rd floor, above cath lab, SFH South cath lab is set up for device implants
  • Equipment: mapping system

Equipment:

  • Philips 3-D ultrasound; Siemens Cardiac CT dual source 128 slice; Siemens Cardiac PET
  • Cardiac MRI
  • New candidate will help direct preferred equipment attainment

Schedule:

  • TBD by mutual agreement

Call:

  • No general cardiology PM call;
  • Expect to cover general cardiology weekends proportionately to other partners (10-12 weekends per year)

Expected Volume:

  • Pacemakers: 175, ICDs: 111,
  • Generator changes: 113
  • 3-4 ablations a day

Referral Pattern:

  • Internal referral network

Procedures:

  • Device and ablation

Teaching Opportunity:

  • Yes, Oklahoma State University College of Medicine Cardiology Fellows rotate

 Highlights:

  • Expect to develop regional outreach electrophysiology program with outlying SFHS regional hospitals
  • Enthusiastic support for internal ablation program
  • Anticipate development of atrial fibrillation clinic

Currently there is only one independent, non-affiliated Electrophysiologist in a 1100+ bed hospital system
