Job Description

Indiana University Health Physicians is seeking a patient-centered OB Hospitalist to join our growing team in the Indianapolis area. The selected candidate will work shifts at IU Health West Hospital in Avon, IN and IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, IN. Avon and Carmel are both nationally ranked Indianapolis suburbs.

Position Details:

Full-time or Part-time hours

Responsible for seven 24 hour in-house shifts/month

In-house obstetrics coverage and ER/floor gynecology consults for unassigned patients (no gynecology surgery except emergent D&Cs)

Management and coverage of OB triage

Back-up and surgical assistance to staff physicians upon request

Cross coverage for staff physicians at night and on the weekends (no rounding responsibilities)

Utilize Cerner for the EMR system

Qualifications:

Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified

Interested in residents, fellows and practicing physicians

Current MD/DO medical license

Indiana license or willingness to obtain

ACLS certification or willingness to obtain

Commitment to practice EBM

Superior communication skills

Focus on quality improvement and patient safety

Demonstration of clinical excellence
