The Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Molecular Imaging, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, Royal Oak Campus, is seeking a fellowship-trained breast imager to join an experienced breast imaging division. The breast imaging and intervention division at Royal Oak performs over 75,000 exams per year. The Beaumont system sees over 1000 new breast cancer cases each year, the largest number in the state. Beaumont Health uses digital breast tomosynthesis capability for screening mammography and is in the process of introducing automated breast ultrasound screening for the appropriate segment of its screening population. A dedicated 3T MRI machine is housed within the breast center. Both screening and diagnostic breast MR studies are done as well as MR-guided needle localizations and core biopsies.
The division has 11 breast imagers. The group is an active participant in a high-risk breast cancer-screening program and it also is an integral part of the multidisciplinary breast cancer team that meets weekly. Additionally, our expedited breast care services allow for discussion of results with the patient and same day ultrasound guided core biopsies. The breast imaging staff members also teach residents and breast imaging fellows. Research projects are encouraged to further the mission of the radiology department and academic institution.
Salary and academic appointment are commensurate with experience. Interested applicants should contact Roberta.Simone@Beaumont.org or fax to 947-522-1902 or Vidya.Pai@beaumont.edu; 248-551-6066

The City of Royal Oak requires no introduction to the Detroit metropolitan area. Conveniently located near several major thoroughfares, Royal Oak's location is prime. This is evident in the steady rise of property values throughout the city. Royal Oak has maintained the appeal of a small town, while affording many of the amenities of a large metropolis. Because of its respect for diversity, the city's composition is truly eclectic. The population represents a diverse mix of individuals, age groups, incomes, and myriad of residential home styles. Combined efforts of a proactive city government and Downtown Development Authority over the past several years have brought about a metamorphosis of the city's central business district. Downtown improvements have included changes to the landscape that encourage socialization.
