Job Description

In conjunction with Coliseum Medical Centers, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, Georgia, is actively recruiting for two adult psychiatrists at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure or non-tenure track. Primary responsibilities will include direct patient care, focus on out-patient services, teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, marriage and family therapy students and possible scholarly activity/research. Some inpatient call may be required at Coliseum Medical Centers. Other interests welcomed e.g. addictions, mood disorder, and geriatric psychiatry. Opportunities may exist for the teaching of residents in other departments. Collaboration within and across departments is encouraged. Department faculty are involved in medical and family therapy education and curriculum development.

Applicants must have completed an approved general psychiatry residency, be board certified/eligible in general psychiatry and be eligible to obtain a Georgia medical license. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
