Job Description

Emergency Medical Associates (EMA), an Envision Physician Services Provider, has an Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship Opportunity at New York-Presbyterian/Queens

As an ultrasound fellow you will acquire competency with all of the applications recommended in the ACEP guidelines. Furthermore, you will learn advanced applications including, echocardiography to the critically ill patient and advanced pediatric applications taught by pediatric ultrasound trained faculty. The fellowship will also provide opportunities with established international ultrasound resources and participation in the international ultrasound teaching endeavors, such as the DevelopingEM ultrasound conference. The research team helps with proposals, IRB applications, research data acquisitions, and publications.

Our goal is to train experts in emergency ultrasound who will eventually grow to be leaders of emergency ultrasound. Most of our fellows graduate to become ultrasound division directors.

New York-Presbyterian/Queens is a 535-bed community teaching hospital located in Flushing, Queens. A member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and an affiliate of the Weil Cornell Medical College, New York-Presbyterian/Queens is the official hospital of the NY Cosmos Soccer Club.

The Emergency Department at New York-Presbyterian/Queens sees 124,000 visits annually and is a Level I Regional Trauma Center. This 56-bed ED has a 30-bed Observational Unit and separate Pediatric emergency department.
