Sierra Vista Hospital is currently recruiting for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist / Program Director in Sacramento, CA to join our expanded Inpatient Services team. This position offers great flexibility for physicians in terms of compensation, with a choice to be either employed by the facility or to work as an Independent Contractor.

THE FACILITY: Located in Sacramento, California, Sierra Vista Hospital is a 120-bed full-service behavioral health facility and a center of support for patients and their families.  Serving the needs of Northern and Central California we offer clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.  Treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team of staff led by the physician in our inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.  The hospital is a well run collegial practice setting for doctors and staff offering opportunity for professional and personal growth.  

 

POSITION DETAILS:

The Psychiatrist responsibilities for Inpatient work is initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and daily care of child and adolescent patients.  This is a full-time employed position but an independent contractor model can also be offered.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position.  The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department.  If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred however; persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.

 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
  • Board certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred
  • Licensed to practice in the State of California or the ability to obtain a CA medical license
  • Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
