The Department of Medicine at Indiana University – Evansville/Good Samaritan is seeking an outpatient Psychiatrist, adult or child/adolescent, to work at our Community Mental Health Center.  Appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate level and requires board eligibility/certification in Psychiatry.  This is an excellent opportunity to join the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSOM) full-time faculty while working at one of the premier hospitals in Southern Indiana.  Duties include clinical care in primarily the outpatient setting, with a focus on teaching our outstanding house staff and medical students.

    • Good Samaritan is part of a 4 four-hospital consortium that is affiliated with IU Schools of Medicine, which will be bringing 4-6 new residency programs to southern IN.  Good Samaritan hosts the Psychiatry Residency Program and welcomed its first residents in 2019, as well as the Internal Medicine Residency Program starting 2020.
    • Good Samaritan Behavioral Health serves an area of over 250,000 people and is a Community Mental Health Center
    • 20-bed adult inpatient unit
    • Faculty devote about 10+ hours per week with the residency program
    • Opportunity to supervise in the Resident Faculty Practice and to have a panel of outpatients as your own
